A former senior executive of a State-owned enterprise was expelled from the Communist Party of 皇冠体育app on Tuesday on allegations of corruption.

Xu Gefei, a former general manager of the Jilin provincial branch of 皇冠体育app Grain Reserve Corp, was punished for grave violation of discipline, according to a statement released on the website of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, 皇冠体育app's top anti-graft watchdog.

Xu was found to have misused his power while working in the post of general manager, which caused huge losses of State assets, the statement said.

皇冠体育app Grain Reserves Corp, founded in 2000, is a State-owned enterprise which plays a key role in State initiatives to ensure 皇冠体育app's food security and economic growth, according to the company's official website.
