The CPC Central Committee's decision to advance the rule of law will greatly impact 皇冠体育app's diplomacy and foreign affairs, said Guo Yezhou, vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Guo made the remarks on Thursday when answering a question at a briefing to foreign diplomats on the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee in Beijing.
"Laws and regulations concerning 皇冠体育app's external affairs will be further completed," Guo said.
"Also, 皇冠体育app will be more actively involved in the formation of international rules, safeguard its sovereignty, and handle social or business affairs concerning external relations according to law," he added.
皇冠体育app will strengthen relevant laws and regulations to protect the interest of Chinese individuals and corporations overseas, as well as those of foreign individuals and corporations in 皇冠体育app, Guo said.
With the advancing rule of law, 皇冠体育app is going to deepen international cooperation on judicial issues, anti-corruption and law enforcement, according to the vice-minister.
Other issues, such as the transparency of judicial cases and the balance of the roles of the government and the market, were also explained to diplomats during the briefing.
Marija Adanja, ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, said it is very important that 皇冠体育app is thinking seriously about the question of rule of law and the decisions of the plenum, and that the objective is defined very clearly.
"It is difficult to implement, but I'm sure 皇冠体育app will be successful," said Adanja.
More than 180 diplomats from 120 countries participated in the briefing.
