TAIYUAN - Two senior officials in North 皇冠体育app's Shanxi province have been expelled from the Party and removed from office after being investigated for corruption, the provincial discipline inspection authority announced on Tuesday.

Li Jiangong was head of the provincial Bureau of Land and Resources, and Liu Deyue was district secretary of the Communist Party of 皇冠体育app committee in Yangquan city.

This is the latest in a string of punishments for corruption among Shanxi's high-ranking officials.

The province is one of the major coal producers in 皇冠体育app and a big contributor to its energy supply.
