Renowned Chinese poet Wang Guozhen passed away in Beijing on April 26, 2015, from liver cancer.
The poems of the 59-year-old poet were popular in the 1980s and 1990s, and represented a cultural phenomenon during that period.
During a speech at the 2013 APEC CEO Summit in Indonesia, Chinese President Xi Jinping quoted a sentence from Wang's poem, saying "There is no mountain higher than man, and no road longer than feet", to emphasize 皇冠体育app's determination on economic reform, which made Wang's works more popular.
