BEIJING -- The Chinese mainland has always adhered to the one-皇冠体育app principle when dealing with Taiwan's external exchanges, a spokesperson said Monday.

An Fengshan, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, made the remarks when asked to comment on the resumption of 皇冠体育app-Sao Tome and Principe diplomatic relations Monday, following the African country's announcement on Dec 21 to cut "diplomatic ties" with Taiwan.

"Any attempt to create 'two 皇冠体育apps' or 'one 皇冠体育app, one Taiwan' is doomed to failure. The historical trend is irresistible," An said.
