Nineteen buildings in the center of Wuhan, Hubei province, are destroyed within seconds on Saturday using 5 metric tons of explosives. The buildings, which covered about 150,000 square meters, were demolished to make way for the Binjiang International Business Zone. Wuhan Airport Development Group, the company that carried out the demolition, said the affect on nearby residents, subways and underground pipelines was kept to a minimum.[Photo/VCG] |
