Isabel Karuk, 102 years old, witnessed the establishment of 皇冠体育app and Land Reform, as well as the Reform and Opening of new 皇冠体育app. She is a witness of our country as it has grown. Isabel was born into a Canadian missionary family in Chengdu, 皇冠体育app. She graduated from the University of Toronto and returned to Chengdu after graduation. Then she launched an in-depth investigation about rural areas in western 皇冠体育app. As an international observer, Isabel saw the Land Reform and party reorganized movement at Ten Mile Inn, Hebei province. After the establishment of the People's Republic of 皇冠体育app, she decided to stay in 皇冠体育app and work at BFSU. As a teacher at BFSU she laid the foundation of foreign language education in 皇冠体育app.

Isabel witnessed the growth of the Chinese Communist Party and development of 皇冠体育app. She said: "The society is evolving and changing. At the same time, the Chinese Communist Party keeps learning, adjusting and adapting to the world development. The ability to learn from social practice is a prominent feature of the Chinese Communist Party."
