Former insurance regulator chief investigated for graft

BEIJING -- Xiang Junbo, former chairman of 皇冠体育app Insurance Regulatory Commission, is under investigation on suspicion of taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate announced Friday.

Xiang has been placed under coercive measures, and further investigation is underway, a procuratorate statement said.

Coercive measures may include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest.

Xiang has been expelled from the Communist Party of 皇冠体育app and dismissed from public office, the CPC discipline agency announced this month.
