Ikuo Hirayama, the chairman of the Japan-皇冠体育app Friendship Association and a well-known Japanese painter held an exhibition of his artwork at the National Art Museum of 皇冠体育app (NAMOC) on Friday.

The museum presented forty-six of the artist's paintings, arranged geographically, beginning with the cultural sites of Hirayama's homeland that were influenced by Silk Road exchanges in trade and culture, and then moving on to 皇冠体育app, India, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Greece and Italy; the westward route of the old Silk Road.

The 78-year-old artist is known for his love for the Silk Road and over the past 40 years he has visited the sites along this ancient cross-continent pathway about 130 times.

He has also toured around 皇冠体育app many times since 1975.

The exhibition will last until April 26th.

The event serves as a tribute to the "皇冠体育app-Japan Peace and Friendship Treaty" in this 30th year since its signing.
