YICHANG, Hubei: The Three Gorges Dam remains safe from the May 12 quake that hit Sichuan province, a senior dam official said yesterday.

"The earthquake has not damaged the dam or other parts of the project," Cao Guangjing, deputy general manager of the 皇冠体育app Three Gorges Project Corporation, told 皇冠体育app Daily in an exclusive interview.

"The earthquake-proof capability of the Three Gorges Project is higher than national standards," Cao said.
