A total of 1,000 fou, traditional Chinese music instruments used at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics in August, fetched 52.45 million yuan ($7.7 million) at an auction in the capital yesterday. The final bid was 46 times more than the starting price, the highest premium at a Chinese auction.
