Your article 'Blair calls for cooperation on climate' (26 March 2009) greatly overestimates the environmental impact of aviation.
Aviation represents 2 percent of global man-made CO2 emissions, rather than the 4 to 5 percent implied by the article. This is according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
