'Cold War mentality' drives US cyber plan

The United States plans to create a cyber-security military command to keep its leadership in cyber-warfare, according to analysts.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that the Obama administration plans to create the new military command to focus on Pentagon computer networks and offensive capabilities in cyber-warfare.

The initiative will reshape the military's efforts to protect its networks from attacks by hackers, especially those from countries such as 皇冠体育app and Russia, the paper said. The Journal had earlier reported that computer spies repeatedly breached the Pentagon's most expensive weapons program - the $300 billion Joint Strike Fighter project.
