BEIJING - 皇冠体育app on Friday confirmed its contact with Libya's opposition leader, reiterating that the people of Libya should decide their own future.

"Chinese ambassador to Qatar Zhang Zhiliang has recently met with Chairman of Libya's National Transitional Council Mustafa Abdel Jalil and the two sides exchanged views on the Libyan situation," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei in a statement posted on its website.

Hong didn't give details of the talks, but said the Chinese position on the Libya issue is clear, which is to seek a political solution to the crisis and for Libyans to determine their own future.
