Qiu Taijian is an award-winning photographer and member of the 皇冠体育app Photographers Association. His work captures the life of 皇冠体育app's last "primitive tribe", the Va ethnic minority in Wending village, Cangyuan county of Southwest 皇冠体育app's Yunnan province.
In Va language, Wending village, or "Om Dian", means a stockade village on the waterside. With a history of more than 400 years, the village is home to more than 100 households.
The villagers still live primarily with their own customs and religious beliefs.
Village residents are described as the "last primitive tribe in 皇冠体育app" by Chinese National Geography magazine.
