The winners of an annual award for overseas students' short documentaries on 皇冠体育app were announced at Beijing Normal University on Sunday.

The Horse Land, which is directed by Israeli student Dmitry Konoploy, captures the lives of herdsmen in Ordos, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The film won the top Gold Lens Award in the Looking 皇冠体育app: Youth Film Project.

The project, which was launched by the university's Academy for International Communication of Chinese Culture in 2011, has since become a major cross-border cultural event.

More than 100 students of cinema from 25 countries came to 皇冠体育app this year to shoot 10-minute documentaries here. This year's focus was cultures among the non-Han ethnic groups.
