Performing group brings cultural events to local communities

Beijing Performance & Arts Group signed a contract with the government of Beijing Dongcheng district on introducing artistic activities for the local residents.
The first project was a gala held on Jan 18 for the Beixinqiao community in Dongcheng district, to celebrate the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year.
More than 300 local residents staged performances of square dancing, Peking Opera, chorus and folk operas.
Professional singers, dancers and instrument players were invited to give training to the amateur performers.
According to Beijing Performance & Arts Group, low-price tickets for various shows and workshops from professional troupes will be given during the upcoming Spring Festival.
