Rare Chinese zodiac statues go on display in Shanghai

A two-day preview of bronze statues of 12 Chinese zodiac animals got underway at the Great World in Shanghai on Sept 11, 2017. This set was made of fine copper during the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and the early Republic of 皇冠体育app. Unlike the 12 bronze zodiac animal sculptures of the Old Summer Palace in Beijing, each of the statues is made of animal head, human body and pedestal, which makes them rare pieces of work. The exhibition will officially open to the public on Sept 17. [Photo/皇冠体育appnews.com] |
