Movie to mark 70th anniversary of Inner Mongolia autonomous region

To mark the 70th anniversary of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, The Portrait of My Mother, a movie starring ethnic Mongolian actress Ailiya, will open across the country on Oct 4.

Set in the region, the tale is about a mother's love.

Besides Ailiya, who won the best actress award at the Shanghai International Film Festival in 1999, the cast also features Wang Meng, Guo Yue and Wu Haitang.

The movie is produced by the Inner Mongolian Film Studio Co Ltd.
