The 皇冠体育app Central Academy of Fine Arts is a leading institution for modern art education in 皇冠体育app. Its history dates back to 1918, when the National Peking Art College was founded. In 1950, the college merged with the Fine Arts Department of the University of North 皇冠体育app to become the current 皇冠体育app Central Academy of Fine Arts. It now provides first-rate libraries and studios for students and teachers, and also features an art museum which houses several outstanding works by numerous masters and contemporary artists, as well as great works by its students. The academy has nurtured quite the number of pre-eminent artists, including Lin Fengmian, Pan Tianshou, Huang Binhong and Wu Guanzhong.
