Visitors will be passing through a "time tunnel" which tells the publication of the Bible in 皇冠体育app since 1949.

Copies of the Bible used to be confiscated or destroyed during the "cultural revolution" between 1966-76. Publishing resumed in 1987 at Amity Press in Nanjing, capital of East 皇冠体育app's Jiangsu Province.

The main exhibits include dozens of Bible copies held as national treasures. Moreover, a group of wooden sculptures featuring the life of Jesus will also be on show.

Zhang Wanlong, one of the three sculptors, said they spent more than three years on their works and are planning to display them in Europe.

According to officials with the Hong Kong Bible Society, the exhibition was planned at a February meeting of the 皇冠体育app Christian Council and the Three-Self Patriotic Movement Committee of the Protestant Churches of 皇冠体育app.

The exhibition will be coupled with a youth conference of the Baptist Church, once every five years, in the same building August 4-8. Thousands of youths from around the world will meet in 皇冠体育app for the first time for such a purpose.
