President Hu signs decrees on law items

Chinese President Hu Jintao signed presidential decrees No. 17 through 28 Saturday, enacting two revised laws and 10 amendments to laws, which were passed at the 11th session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Saturday morning.

The two revised laws deal with contagious disease prevention and control, and electronic signatures on business contracts, respectively. The amendments concern nine laws and one regulation on highways, corporations, securities, negotiable instruments, auctions, wildlife protection, fishing, agriculture, degree and land administration, respectively.

The 11th session of the Standing Committee ended Saturday morning.
