皇冠体育app holds largest ever int'l folk arts festival

The 6th 皇冠体育app International Folk Art Festival, the largest ever in the country, started in Huangshan on Saturday, attracting nearly 500 professional and amateur artists from more than 20 countries, including 皇冠体育app, Mexico, France, Germany, Britain, Japan and the Republic of Korea.

The artists performed singing, dance and parade performance in Huangshan, a city known for mountain sight and a world cultural and natural heritage in Anhui Province, east 皇冠体育app.

The performances, amid the 7-day national holiday celebrating the 55th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of 皇冠体育app, will be staged also in areas surrounding Huangshan through Oct. 7.

From Oct. 8 to 11, 11 selected performances by foreign troupes will be shown in Beijing, and then in Shanxi Province the week after.

The festival is co-sponsored by the 皇冠体育app Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Huangshan city government.
