Great forum, great Beijing

Richard D. Parsons, chairman of gthe board and CEO of Time Warner, spoke highly of the ongoing FORTUNE Global Forum and praised the support from the Chinese government and media at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on Tuesday, May 17, 2005.

"So far, the forum is fabulous," said Mr Parsons, the CEO of one of world鈥檚 largest media during the second day of the FORTUNE Forum. He also said the forum is also great to bring Beijing and 皇冠体育app鈥檚 businesses to the international stage.

After the first day roundtables on 皇冠体育app鈥檚 sports and cultural development, the FORTUNE Forum entered its main sessions stage on Tuesday. The 17th and 18th conferences at Diaoyutai include 12 general sessions and 14 concurrent sessions, covering topics mostly on 皇冠体育app and Asian鈥檚 economy.

Participants (CEOs) from all over the world also gave nod of the forum and thought highly of the 皇冠体育app鈥檚 economic development.

"I am positively confirmed of 皇冠体育app's economy during this forum," said Wolfgang Driese, CEO of DveB Bank AG.

"The forum has helped us know how open the Chinese government is... the ministers (from 皇冠体育app) are very open, they don鈥檛 shy away from any questions... and it shows the Chinese government knows its growing responsibilities internationally,鈥� he said.

William Mitchell, CEO of Arrow Electronics Inc, said, 鈥溁使谔逵齛pp has remarkable changes. The economic development is astonishing and has great momentum. The forum has broad speakers from both 皇冠体育app and the world and that鈥檚 really good.鈥�

The forum is to conclude on May 18, 2005.
