Siemens starts power road show in Guangzhou The Siemens 皇冠体育app Power Transmission and Distribution (PTD) Group kicked off a road show in Guangzhou on Wednesday as part of its efforts to capitalize on 皇冠体育app鈥檚 rapidly increasing demand for power. The 3-month-long tour will visit 14 cities and end in Beijing on Aug. 26. Siemens aims to showcase its latest power transmission and distribution technologies to its customers and business partners in 皇冠体育app鈥檚 power industry. 皇冠体育app had seen great power shortages in recent years, and the company would 鈥渉elp to develop 皇冠体育app鈥檚 electrical power industry,鈥 said Andreas Matth茅, general manager of Siemens PTD Group. According to statistics, in 2004 the national demand for electricity was 415 million kWh, while the power supply was only 385 million kWh. The supply is estimated to increase to 480 million kWh in 2005, but still will not keep pace with soaring demand. Siemens and its major competitors in 皇冠体育app, General Electric Co. and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, have their eyes on 皇冠体育app鈥檚 power market with the intent to take the lion鈥檚 share. |
