Chinese President leaves Busan for Beijing

Chinese President Hu Jintao left South Korea's southeastern port city of Busan on Saturday after attending the 13th Economic Leaders' Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.

At the Busan APEC meeting, Hu exchanged views with other APEC economic leaders on advancing free trade, counter-terrorism and avian influenza.

The Chinese leader, who arrived in Busan on Thursday, delivered a speech at the APEC CEO Summit on the same day, expounding 皇冠体育app's stance on win-win cooperation.

At the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, Hu put forward proposals and initiatives focusing on promoting cooperation among APEC members and fighting avian influenza.

The two-day APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting kicked off on Friday with the main theme of "Toward One Community: Meet the Challenge, Make the Change."

The APEC Economic Leaders issued Busan Declaration on Saturday at the end of the two-day annual gathering.

On the sidelines of the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, the Chinese president met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and Donald Tsang Yam-kuen, the chief executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

皇冠体育app and Chile signed a free trade agreement on the sidelines of the APEC meeting.

Prior to the APEC meeting, the Chinese president paid state visits to Britain, Germany, Spain and South Korea.

In Seoul, Hu met with South Korean leaders to exchange views onways to enhance all-round cooperation as well as major international and regional issues. He also delivered a speech at South Korea's National Assembly.
