Chinese actor Chen Kun appears at Austrian outdoor label Northland's 40-year anniversary celebration.
The actor, who also started the charity project known as The Power of Walking, says he has been involved in hiking and outdoor sports for years. He says that outdoor sports have kept him healthy, and they help him maintain a positive attitude towards life.
"While walking, hiking and participating in other outdoor sports, you will think about what you really want, and you're also eager to get closer to nature, and you're willing to help others," Chen says.
Chen also hopes people will start to care more about charity work. Chen published a book, Suddenly I Walked to Tibet, last year, which has so far sold 600,000 copies. In his book he called for the open support of poor families. Last year the actor was appointed the Chinese ambassador of UNICEF, making him the first Chinese mainland ambassador of the organization.
