Winter wonderland cake

These festive images show a miniature winter wonderland created entirely out of cake. The village ingredients include 385kg of icing, 65 baking sheets of gingerbread and 55kg of chocolate - in total weighing more than 10 baby hippos. Preparations for the lip licking residency, which took shape in the lobby the Hotel Captain Cook, in Anchorage in Alaska, USA, began back in August. The hotel has constructed a cake-based village every winter for the past 35 years. This year's creation has been overseen by pastry chef Joe Hickel. [Photo/icpress] |
