Legacy of the brush

The National Art Museum of 皇冠体育app is presenting the second exhibition under the title Inheritance of Ink and Brush, with a display of calligraphy works that occupies its center hall and the whole of the exhibition space on the third floor. Most participating calligraphers were born in the 1940s and earlier, growing up under strict disciplines of calligraphy. The exhibition is one of several diverse educational programs that make the traditional art easily accessible to the public, including master classes for children, a lecture on seal-cutting and a children's calligraphy exhibition.

You Guanglin's solo exhibition at the National Art Museum of 皇冠体育app features 55 photos exquisitely produced with a poetic touch and a Zen spirit. He tries to create a feeling of illusions in reality by printing photos on xuan paper, canvas and watercolor paper. The photos fall into three motifs including "ruined walls", "ode to lotus" and "wisdom", conveying his eye for life details, such as a tranquil path, a view of an elderly man's back and a glimpse of skyline.
