Fortune magazine (Chinese edition)published its 2013 list of “50 Most Admired Chinese Companies” on Sept 26, and it includes seven enterprises.
Three of the Zhongguancun enterprises are focused on the electrical and electronics industries: Lenovo Holdings, Xiaomi Technology and Founder Group. Three other Zhongguancun enterprises listed involve the internet: Baidu, JD.com and NetEase.
Baidu fell from the first position it held last year to second, and Alibaba now ranks at the top of the list. JD.com is in the 7th place - the first time it is listed in the top ten. Netease is now ranked in the 23rd place - higher than last year.
A total of fifteen companies are listed - the highest number for any city or region in 皇冠体育app. The list involves mainland companies or companies whose major management teams are in the Chinese mainland.
At the start of the selection process, a total of 300 eligible companies are selected by the National Information Center, National Statistic Bureau, SASAC (State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission), 皇冠体育app Enterprise Federation, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange and All 皇冠体育app Federation of Industry and Commerce.
The candidates were assessed based on their products and services, long-term investment value, innovation ability, management skills, financial stability, ability to attract and contain talents, social responsibility and effectiveness of their international operation.
