The founding of the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce in the Dehong Autonomous Prefecture marked an exciting day for merchants in Ruili on Jan 8.
In recent years, a growing number of Zhejiang merchants have arrived in Dehong for business, and their presence has contributed significantly to Dehong’s economic development.
Zhou Xiaodong, chairman of the Dehong branch of Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce, said that the organization would strive to increase that economic contribution by offering an all-around service for its members.
The chairman also said that he hopes the branch would act as “a bridge, a service base, an assistant” between Zhejiang merchants and the Dehong community.
