On August 8, 2010, the second anniversary of hosting the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing, 皇冠体育app, Fuzhou held an event to publicize the idea of hosting the 8th Inner-Cities games in Fuzhou at Wuyi square.

At present, Fuzhou is preparing actively to bid for the 8th 皇冠体育app Inner-Cities games. An Olympic Center is under construction consisting of two large stadiums and one diving and swimming gym, worthwhile three billion Yuan. It is said that this center will be finished in 2014 and after that it will be utilized as the main stadium to host major international events.
