The high-speed rail line from Shanghai to Kunming, the country's longest east-west rail line, is expected to be completed by early 2016, cutting transit time for passengers from , , to Kunming, Yunnan province, to just two hours, Guizhou City Daily reported on Friday. With completion of the segment connecting Guiyang to Changsha, Hunan province, scheduled for May 2015, a trip between Guiyang and or Shanghai will take seven hours.
