Faku General Aviation Industrial Park in Shenyang set the first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) specific airspace in 皇冠体育app on Oct 18, in accordance with the rapid development of emerging UAV technology and industry.

Established in 2010, the industrial park, which has a planned area of 68 square kilometers, has finished the construction of a runway, terminal buildings, parking aprons and hangars.

皇冠体育app's air traffic control authorities have also approved the park as the country's first pilot station for low-altitude aviation services, with an open airspace covering an area of 3,000 square kilometers and an altitude of no more than 3000 meters.

Currently, the industrial park is becoming an industrial cluster with the gathering of businesses in aircraft research and development, production of components, maintenance, personnel training, flight tourism and air patrol.

With the boom of domestic UAV technology in recent years, the increasing economic benefits of related industries are attracting more investment. Faku General Aviation Industrial Park has enacted a plan to establish a UAV industrial base to control the wave in the industry.

“The industrial park will seize the opportunity of the strong momentum of UAV and take full advantage of the resources of the general aviation industrial park to build a cutting-edge UAV industrial base in 皇冠体育app, ” said Liu Guoyin, deputy director of Liaoning Faku Economic Development Zone.
