The IGCC model power station of Huaneng in Tianjin is a major part of the 1st phase of "Green Coal" Program, which is also a key program of national high-tech projects. The first 250,000 Kwh generation unit will be put into operation in 2011.
IGCC is the most green coal-fired power generation technology in the world. Huaneng's project is the first in 皇冠体育app. After the completion of it, the power station will become the most environmentally friendly coal-fired power station in 皇冠体育app, whose power generation efficiency and desulfurization efficiency may reach 48% and exceed 99% respectively. The emission of Nitrogen oxides will be only 15%-20% of normal power station.
