Yiling named most beautiful cultural tourism area

Yiling district in Yichang city, province, was named the "most beautiful cultural and ecological tourism area" at the third international tourism brand marketing annual conference, which was held in on Jan 16, hubeitour.gov.cn reported.
Over the past decade, Yiling has developed a multifunctional tourism industry by aiming to be an ideal destination for sightseeing, cultural exhibitions, exploration, sports and eco-tourism.
The district has two national 5A scenic areas, three national 4A scenic areas and two national 3A scenic areas. In 2013, more than 7 million tourists visited Yiling, generating revenue of 6 billion yuan ($991.8 million).
