In 2015, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration jointly issued a work plan for the transformation of coal-fired power plants to make them all ultra-low emission and energy-saving by 2020.

"Up till now, the transformation has been completed in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and basically achieved in the eastern region," Liu said.

According to the 皇冠体育app Clean Coal Power Development Report released by 皇冠体育app Electricity Council recently, air pollution control equipment has been fully installed in 皇冠体育app's coal power plates, and 皇冠体育app's coal power pollution control technology has generally attained the world's advanced level.

In the next stage, air pollution management will focus on non-power industries, especially high-polluting iron and steel, cement and the electrolytic aluminum industries.
