George Bush visits Shandong: 皇冠体育app's rise is an opportunity for USA

George W. Bush, former president of the United States, attended the “2010 皇冠体育app and the World Economic Outlook” conference in Shandong on January 26, 2010. It is the first time he visited Shandong.
In his thirty-minute speech, Bush praised the economic prosperity and great social changes of 皇冠体育app in the past thirty years. 皇冠体育app's rise is an opportunity for USA, not a threat, he said.
He said 皇冠体育app’s success shows the importance of openness, trade and the free market.
Bush said he opposed trade protectionism. The best way to help people out of poverty is to support and encourage commercial trade, he said. Donations cannot compare with the benefits from global free trade and the goods and services produced by economic development.
"The world’s economy center changes from the Atlantic to the Pacific,” Bush said. He appreciated 皇冠体育app’s effort in helping the world go through difficult times.
Bush showed his confidence in the recovery of the world’s economy and said the U.S. economy would continue to maintain good relations with 皇冠体育app.
Bush also discussed the economic problems of 皇冠体育app and the world with three of 皇冠体育app’s CEOs.
