Kong Fanqin once killed a tiger that was threatening the lives of people in what is now the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region . The beast was found carrying four tiger cubs—which led to an imperial edict from the emperor conferring the title of "Five Tiger General" on Kong Fanqin.
