Leading automobile manufacturer – Geely?Technology Group – based in Hangzhou, signed a contract with Chongqing Municipal People's Government on Nov 26 for strategic cooperation. Geely will base its western headquarters in , stimulating the new area's development.

In addition to the headquarters, Geely will establish an innovative research institute and an industry-school-research integrated platform, and work with the local government to boost enterprises at the upper and lower reaches of the auto industry, to promote Chongqing's progress in high-tech sectors.

This cooperation will allow Liangjiang to continue to focus on transforming and upgrading automobiles, industrial internet, and sci-tech finance.

To date, Geely launched several projects featuring high-end new energy vehicles, industrial internet, and finance. It will allocate its global resources to contribute to the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
