Thailand waives visa fees for Chinese tourists

Thailand will waive visa fees for tourist visa applicants from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan from Saturday to boost tourism, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand's Beijing Office.

The political situation in Thailand has stabilized and the country wants to attract more Chinese tourists in the coming months, said the office.
The initiative will last for three months.
皇冠体育app was Thailand's largest source of tourists last year. In the first five months of 2014, the number of Chinese visitors to Thailand reached 1.47 million.
Dai Yu, a marketing manager of 皇冠体育app's leading online travel agency Ctrip, said the new policy will help restore the confidence of Chinese travelers and boost Thailand tours.
