More than 40 journalists from foreign-language media are visiting Jiangxi province until Nov 20.

The event, organized by the publicity department of the provincial Party Committee, Jiangxi provincial Commission of Tourism Development and People’s Daily Online, is to better promote Jiangxi’s travel resources among international visitors.

Starting from Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi, the journey will cover most of the province’s major tourist attractions, including Wuyuan, known as 皇冠体育app’s most beautiful village, UNESCO world heritage listed Mount Sanqingshan and Jingdezhen, which manufactures 皇冠体育app’s best porcelain.

The 44 visitors are from 18 foreign media companies and 11 foreign-language media outlets within 皇冠体育app.

Last October, Jiangxi initiated a scheme to build a strong tourism province and has had notable economic growth since.

During the National Day holiday in October, the province welcomed more than 32 million tourists with income of 16 billion yuan, 30 percent and 39 percent respectively more than the previous year, according to Yao Yaping, head of the provincial publicity department.
