Long and rich history endows Nanchang with many cultural relics, among which is the Tengwang Pavilion that every resident of the city is proud of.

Located in the northwest of Nanchang, capital city of East 皇冠体育app's Jiangxi province, Tengwang Pavilion (The Pavilion of Prince Teng) is one of the Three Great Pavilions of 皇冠体育app. The other two are Wuhan's Yellow Crane Tower in province and Yueyang Pavilion in Hunan province.

Tengwang Pavilion rose to fame out of "A Eulogy to Tengwang Pavilion", a classic poem by Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) poet Wang Bo, after he was hosted a grand banquet there held by Prince Teng.

Standing 57.5 meters tall, the nine-story architecture was named after Li Yuanying, the younger brother of Tang Dynasty Emperor Taizong, about 1,300 years ago. Although the pavilion has been destroyed and rebuilt many times over its history, its unique charm and magnificence have been kept.

A theater was constructed inside the pavilion in the 1980s to stage musical performances that give visitors a taste of the once glamorous royal lifestyle.
