Beijing moves to promote MICE sector

A seminar on MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) needs and innovation was held in Beijing on Dec 13.
It was organized by the Beijing High-end Tourism and Meetings Industry Alliance, which was initiated by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development.
Approximately 200 people attended the event.
Participants focused on the prospects for MICE with regard to the medical, automobile, internet technology and fast moving consumer goods sectors.
Lu Chuan, the head of the Beijing tourism commission's city image and marketing division, called for efforts to optimize the MICE environment in Beijing, cultivate MICE talent and improve services.
