The award ceremony of the Sixth University Cartoon Competition on Environmental Protection took place in Beijing on Dec 21. Su Haonan from Northeast Normal University won the golden prize in the student group, and a young cartoonist Zhai Haijun from Shanxi province won first prize in the youth group.
Undertaken by 皇冠体育appdaily.com.cn and 21st Century English newspaper, the competition is co-organized by 皇冠体育app Daily, the United Nations Environment Program, the World Wide Fund for Nature, Center for Environmental Education and Communications of Ministry of Environmental Protection，皇冠体育app Environmental Protection Foundation and 皇冠体育app Journalist Caricature Society. The competition, which started September 2011, received 3,656 contributions from seven countries and regions within two months.
