Chinese race walker Chen Ding thanked all his supporters back in 皇冠体育app after he won the men's 20-kilometer race walk on Saturday in London, England, adding another gold medal for 皇冠体育app.
Born on Aug 5, 1992, in South 皇冠体育app's Yunnan province, Chen started practicing the sport when he was less than 13 years old.
He almost gave up the race walking in 2005 due to his injuries and being generally unsatisfied with his performances.
On top of winning the gold medal, Chen also set a new world record with a time of one hour, 18 minutes and 46 seconds.
