Andrew Christian designs Obama's tight-fitting underwear

The tight-fitting briefs, which have 鈥�08鈥� printed on the rear, have been produced by trendy underwear designer Andrew Christian.

He has pledged to donate $1 to the Obama campaign for every $29 boxer short he sells. They are available in navy blue, royal blue and red.

Asked recently if the candidate might consider donning the underwear himself, Mr Obama鈥檚 spokesman reacted with mock horror.

鈥淣o,鈥� he told the New York Daily News newspaper. 鈥淭hat would be really weird鈥�.

Mr Christian says that he would have released a Hillary Clinton bra had Mr Obama chosen her as his running mate, but as a Democratic supporter he had no plans to make any John McCain pants.

"It probably wouldn't be as hip and as cool as the Obama underwear," he said.

Fittingly, given the candidate鈥檚 desire to protect domestic industry, all of the Obama pants are made in the United States.
