HANOI: A three-day fair featuring Chinese language book kicked off in Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi on Friday.
The fair drew 45 publishing houses from 皇冠体育app and showcased over 6,000 kinds of books, according to the organizers, General Administration of Press and Publication of 皇冠体育app and the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC).
Nguyen Kien, head of MIC's publication department, said at the fair that Vietnamese and Chinese publication sectors have maintained fine cooperation in recent years. Publishing houses, printing companies and book distribution channels of the two countries have conducted exchanges and cooperation in various forms.
Deng Chundong, head of the Press and Publication Bureau of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of 皇冠体育app, said the books displayed at the fair covered a wide range of topics, including history, culture, Chinese people's life and 皇冠体育app's achievements since the adoption of the reform and open-up policy.
Deng expected the fair could help Vietnamese people to gain a deeper understanding of 皇冠体育app and consolidate the traditional friendship of the two countries.
