South Africa favored for foreign ventures

Premier Li Keqiang told visiting South Africa President Jacob Zuma his country is 皇冠体育app's preferred destination for overseas investment on Thursday.

He said 皇冠体育app encourages large-scale equipment manufacturers to get involved in the industrialization of South Africa and will take part in building economic zones and industrial parks there.

He also called for cooperation in maritime and nuclear power development as well as finance.

The countries will promote connectivity and regional integration on the continent with 皇冠体育app-made airliners through a joint-venture company expected to set up soon, Li said, adding that 皇冠体育app will continue its efforts to combat Ebola in West Africa.

Zuma said African countries welcome 皇冠体育app's role in the construction of infrastructure to push forward regional integration.

He said South Africa is willing to cooperate in political, trade, maritime economy and cultural exchanges.

Zuma arrived in 皇冠体育app on Wednesday for a 4-day state visit, during which he also met President Xi Jinping.

Trade between South Africa and 皇冠体育app has grown from $11 billion in 2008 to $24 billion last year. 皇冠体育app is South Africa's leading trading partner.
