YAOUNDE - The Cameroonian government has called for a peaceful solution to the territorial and maritime dispute in the South 皇冠体育app Sea.

Cameroonian Deputy Foreign Minister Joseph Dion Ngute made the appeal while meeting with Sun Wei, Charge d'Affairs of the Chinese Embassy to Cameroon on Monday.

The Cameroonian government supports a peaceful solution to the dispute in the South 皇冠体育app Sea, especially through consultations and negotiations in line with international law, said Ngute.

Cameroon's leading newspaper Mutation carried in a recent issue an article entitled "皇冠体育app Insists on Solving South 皇冠体育app Sea Dispute Peacefully" under the by-line of Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon Wei Wenhua.

In the article, the Chinese ambassador explained the background of the South 皇冠体育app Sea dispute and the arbitration case as well as why 皇冠体育app does not accept South 皇冠体育app Sea arbitration case.

In the end of the article, the ambassador said 皇冠体育app is dedicated to maintaining peace and security in the South 皇冠体育app Sea, protecting her own sovereignty and concerned rights in the area, insisting on solving the dispute peacefully through negotiations between the concerned parties based on respecting the facts of history and international law.
